EMPTY ROOM STUDIOS OPENS CAFÉ PRESS STORE

March 9, 2007 (Mayesville, SC) – Empty Room Studios, provider of high quality illustration and writing services for the creative needs of both large and small publishing companies, has launched an online store from which to sell posters, t-shirts, and other products inspired by the work of its artists, at Café Press. This store helps Empty Room Studios artists share their work with a wider audience, as well as providing gear for long time fans of the studio. "I'm just tickled as all get-out to see the studio work becoming wearable and potential wall art," commented Tim Hibbetts, one of the artists whose work is now available for purchase. "I'm pretty sure I'd have to give the person a big, spontaneous hug if I saw him or her wearing one of our shirts. You know... on second thought, that may suppress sales. Let's just say a big, sloppy hand shake and a long, silly grin. Hugs are negotiable."

While art created by the Empty Room Studios staff is most often commissioned for print products, the Café Press store allows artists to feature personal works that have not previously been published. The store is opening with two t-shirts by Hibbetts, two posters featuring original work by Jeffrey Koch, and a t-shirt and a mug displaying an image by Joe Slucher. "I often create my artwork to be seen at much larger sizes so I'm happy to hear the fans will get a chance to see the details that they can't discern in the products they're in," Slucher said

Café Press has been an online retailer since 1999. It currently hosts over 2.6 million shops and offers a selection of over 35 million products. The Empty Room Studios store can be reached through the main Web site, or at [link]

Would be nice to add each artist's name and what the piece is for (client name, project name, etc) in the comment for each image. :)
